Not familiar with Izola ?
Once an island, the town is renowned for its fishing, winemaking, olive-growing and fish-processing traditions. The medieval town, said, to have once been home to pirates and stubborn fishermen, with its narrow streets and church on a hilltop, charms with its many parks and beaches.
Central beaches
Svetilnik Beach: part of the beach is grassy, easy access to the water (small pebbles). The beach is also popular due to its proximity to the town, restaurants and bars, and part of it is naturally shaded by pine trees. In summer, the beach also has an open-air library. Sun loungers and umbrellas available for hire.
Simonov zaliv: the most family-friendly for its sandy bay and waterslide, kayak, pedal boat or SUP hire. Outdoor library in July and August. The beach has toilets, summer showers, sunbed and umbrella hire, grass and play areas. There is also some natural shade. In the summer months, lifeguards are present.
Delfin Beach: along the promenade, between Simonov zaliv and the town. Access to the sea is good, with a lifeguard in the summer months. Sun loungers and umbrellas available for hire. All beaches are free of charge

Walking paths and playgrounds
Izola is a friendly town for walkers, hikers, cyclists, skateboarders and strollers. There are several nicely landscaped playgrounds in Izola, both by the sea and near Kosovelova Street, the Oktobrska Revolucija street, the library, the Livade Primary School, Jagodje, etc.
Market
In Agraria you can buy fresh vegetables from the surrounding farms, in the summer months there is an open market nearby (Wednesdays and Saturdays), and throughout the year, in addition to fruit, local vegetables are available on Fridays and Saturdays at the local market.
